Contrary to the name, Iceland is not covered in ice; well, not entirely. There are 5 major glaciers in Iceland, all of which do a considerable amount of melting during the summer. This creates a beautifully lush coastal area glittered with thousands of waterfalls, big and small. Go during the months of May, June, and July to see them in all their glory.
